Suncoast Compost and Sewn Apart are teaming up to conduct a fabric composting experiment, to see how textiles break down in a compost pile, and it see if it’s potentially scalable.
Chances are if you care about composting, you know the importance of local food. Which is why we are so happy to be rolling out our local farm goods delivery program to our composters! We’ve teamed up with A Simpler Place Farm & Market to bring local goodies to our composters’ doorsteps. Think Uber Eats, but Uber Local, and slower.
By working with local residents and businesses to divert food waste from the landfill, we can turn that food waste into valuable nutrients to grow more food here in our community. That’s why we are over the moon to announce that Suncoast Compost is now partnering with A Simpler Place Farm and Market. They’re the other half of the equation we’ve been waiting for.
Let’s be honest. Sometimes when we think about environmentalism, we might think dirty-crunchy-hippie. I confess that I’d put myself in that category. Well, I’m here to tell you- I was wrong. Caring about the environment can actually look pretty fabulous. That’s what I found at Mikel’s Paul Mitchell Experience in South Tampa.
